Description
The Ventilair Altura Floor Standing Heat Recovery Ventilator provides controlled supply and extract ventilation for applications requiring substantial airflow without the need for a ceiling-mounted heat recovery unit. Its upright cabinet design houses the supply and extract fans, filtration system and energy recovery exchanger in a single floor standing unit, with separate connections for outdoor air intake, exhaust air, indoor supply and indoor return air.
At the centre of the Altura is a washable PSY energy recovery exchanger. As warm and cool airstreams pass through the exchanger, energy from the outgoing air is transferred to the incoming fresh air. The exchanger can also transfer water molecules between the airstreams, providing energy recovery that includes both temperature and moisture exchange. This helps reduce the amount of heating or cooling required to condition incoming ventilation air. The exchanger is designed to be washable for straightforward maintenance.
Incoming air passes through primary activated carbon and H13 HEPA filtration, providing a high level of particulate filtration before fresh air is supplied to the building. The system also includes an inner-loop recirculation mode for faster purification of indoor air. A bypass mode allows air to pass without heat recovery when conditions make energy exchange unnecessary.
The Altura range is offered in two airflow capacities:
- 600 m³/h, with stated heat recovery efficiency of 88.3-91.5% and operating noise of 37 dB(A)
- 900 m³/h, with stated heat recovery efficiency of 86.6-90.5% and operating noise of 39 dB(A)
- Both capacities are available with or without electric heating
This combination of floor standing installation, high airflow, heat and moisture recovery, filtration and optional supplementary heating makes the Altura suitable for larger residential spaces and other applications where a substantial, centrally managed fresh-air supply is required.
