Description
The Ventilair Avante Centralised Heat Recovery Unit is a floor-mounted MVHR system for providing controlled supply and extract ventilation throughout a property. Its upright configuration allows the main ventilation components to be housed in a compact vertical cabinet, making it particularly useful where ceiling space is limited or where accessible floor-level installation is preferred.
The Avante continuously extracts stale indoor air while drawing fresh outdoor air into the ventilation system. The two airstreams pass separately through the energy recovery exchanger, allowing useful energy from the outgoing air to be transferred to the incoming air before it is distributed through the building. This reduces ventilation-related heat loss while providing a regular supply of filtered outdoor air.
Heat and energy recovery
The Avante uses a PSY energy recovery exchanger that transfers thermal energy between the extract and supply airstreams. The exchanger can also transfer water molecules, allowing recovery of moisture as well as temperature and providing an element of energy recovery beyond heat transfer alone.
The heat exchanger is washable, allowing it to be removed and cleaned as part of routine system maintenance.
Integrated air filtration
Fresh air entering the Avante passes through activated carbon and H13 HEPA filtration before being supplied indoors. The activated carbon stage provides initial filtration, while the H13 HEPA filter is designed for much finer airborne particulate filtration.
Combining filtration with mechanical supply and extract ventilation allows the Avante to manage fresh-air delivery through a controlled central system rather than relying on uncontrolled infiltration or opening windows.
Three airflow capacities
The Ventilair Avante is available in three airflow capacities:
- 250 m³/h, with stated recovery efficiency of approximately 85-88%
- 350 m³/h, with stated recovery efficiency of approximately 85-87.5%
- 500 m³/h, with stated recovery efficiency of approximately 84-87%
Each airflow capacity can be selected with either an AC or DC motor, allowing the motor configuration to be chosen according to the requirements of the installation. The corresponding stated operating noise levels are 37 dB(A), 39 dB(A) and 41 dB(A) respectively.
With its vertical floor-mounted format, multiple airflow capacities, AC and DC motor choices, energy recovery and integrated filtration, the Ventilair Avante provides a flexible centralised MVHR solution for residential and other suitable ducted ventilation applications. A controller is included with each unit.
