Description
The Ventilair Dosuno Vertical Heat Recovery Ventilator and Dehumidifier combines balanced mechanical ventilation, energy recovery and active humidity control within a single upright unit. Designed for vertical installation, typically at floor level, it provides a practical central ventilation solution for properties where both fresh-air management and dehumidification are required.
Heat recovery ventilation
In heat recovery ventilation mode, outdoor air is drawn into the Dosuno Vertical, passed through the filtration system and heat exchanger, then supplied to the building. At the same time, stale indoor air is extracted and passed through the heat exchanger before being discharged outside. This process recovers energy from the outgoing airstream and transfers it to the incoming fresh air, reducing the energy otherwise lost through ventilation.
Active dehumidification
When indoor moisture levels require additional control, the unit can operate in dehumidification mode. Humid indoor air is drawn through the system and passed across the compressor-driven cooling components, where moisture is removed before the drier, filtered air is returned indoors.
A built-in fully automatic drainage pump removes the collected condensate, avoiding the need for a water tank to be emptied manually.
Automatic humidity control
Heat recovery ventilation and dehumidification cannot operate simultaneously. Instead, the Dosuno Vertical can automatically switch between the two functions according to the measured humidity level and the target set by the user.
For example, if indoor relative humidity is 90% and the target is set to 50%, the unit will first operate in dehumidification mode. Once the target humidity has been reached, it can automatically change to heat recovery ventilation mode.
This allows the system to prioritise moisture removal when necessary and then resume normal fresh-air ventilation without requiring manual mode changes.
Two airflow and dehumidification capacities
The Ventilair Dosuno Vertical is available in two models:
- Dosuno 3: 33 L/day dehumidification, approximately 68-73% stated recovery efficiency and 43-49 dB(A) operating noise
- Dosuno 4: 58 L/day dehumidification, approximately 66-71% stated recovery efficiency and 45-53 dB(A) operating noise
Both versions operate on a 220 V supply and use an upright cabinet designed to bring the ventilation, heat recovery, filtration, dehumidification and automatic drainage components together within one central system.
The result is a single ventilation unit capable of maintaining regular filtered air exchange while responding automatically when excess indoor humidity requires dedicated dehumidification.
