Description
The Ventilair Dosuno Heat Recovery Ventilator and Dehumidifier combines two important aspects of indoor climate control within one central ducted system. In normal heat recovery ventilation mode, the unit brings filtered outdoor air into the building while extracting stale indoor air. Energy from the outgoing airstream is transferred through the heat exchanger before the extract air is discharged, reducing the amount of energy lost through continuous ventilation.
When additional moisture control is required, the Dosuno can operate as a dedicated central dehumidifier. Humid indoor air is drawn through the unit and passed across the refrigeration system, where moisture is removed before the drier air is returned to the building. The catalogue also identifies the range as an upgraded automatic-drainage design, allowing condensate to be removed without relying on a manually emptied collection tank.
Automatic humidity-based mode switching
Heat recovery ventilation and dehumidification cannot operate at the same time. Instead, the Dosuno can automatically select the appropriate mode according to the indoor humidity level and the user’s chosen target.
For example, if relative humidity is 90% and the target is set to 50%, the unit initially operates in dehumidification mode. Once indoor humidity has been reduced to the required level, Dosuno can automatically change over to heat recovery ventilation. This allows humidity control to take priority when necessary without requiring the user to manually switch the system back to normal ventilation afterwards.
Two capacity options
The Dosuno range is available in two sizes:
- Dosuno 1: ventilation airflow of 250-350 m³/h, dehumidification capacity of 33 L/day, stated heat recovery efficiency of approximately 68-73%, and operating noise of 35-46 dB(A).
- Dosuno 2: ventilation airflow of 350-500 m³/h, dehumidification capacity of 58 L/day, stated heat recovery efficiency of approximately 66-71%, and operating noise of 38-49 dB(A).
Both versions use a compact horizontal format suited to central ducted installation. The internal arrangement includes the energy recovery exchanger, supply and extract fans, primary activated carbon filtration and the refrigeration components required for dehumidification. The primary activated carbon filter and H13 HEPA filter are included as standard.
By combining ventilation, heat recovery and active moisture control in one unit, the Ventilair Dosuno is particularly suitable for buildings where excess humidity needs to be managed alongside a regular supply of filtered outdoor air.
