Lo-Carbon Tempra Decentralised Heat Recovery Ventilator

£POA

The Lo-Carbon Tempra HRV provides decentralised heat recovery ventilation without the ductwork required by a central MVHR system. Its compact heat exchanger allows the unit to fit through a standard 100 mm diameter wall opening, making it particularly useful for refurbishment projects and for replacing conventional through-wall extractor fans.

During normal operation, stale indoor air is extracted while heat is recovered and transferred to incoming replacement air. The heat exchanger achieves up to 78% temperature efficiency, helping reduce ventilation-related heat loss. Continuous airflow can be set at 6 or 9 l/s, increasing to 15 l/s when boost ventilation is required.

The HTP configuration includes an adjustable humidity sensor, which automatically increases ventilation when moisture levels rise, together with an adjustable 5 to 50-minute overrun timer and manual pullcord boost. A summer setting allows the Tempra HRV to operate in extract-only mode when heat recovery is not required.

An efficient Lo-Carbon EC/DC motor consumes as little as 3.2 W at trickle speed, with operating noise from approximately 20 dB(A). The Tempra HRV uses a 24 V SELV supply via the included transformer, making it suitable for applications such as bathrooms and other moisture-prone rooms.

Two wall-depth options are available:

  • 320 mm Tempra HRV, for walls up to 320 mm deep
  • 460 mm Tempra HRV, for installations requiring the longer wall section

Both versions provide the same core heat recovery, humidity sensing, timer and boost functions.
