Ventilair Techo Centralised Heat Recovery Ventilator

£POA

The Ventilair Techo is a ceiling-mounted centralised heat recovery ventilator designed to provide balanced supply and extract ventilation while recovering energy from outgoing indoor air. Available in 150, 250, 350 and 500 m³/h airflow capacities, the range can be specified with either an AC motor or an energy-efficient BLDC brushless motor, depending on the application.

Each Techo includes primary activated carbon and H13 HEPA filtration to help remove airborne particles from the incoming air before it is supplied indoors. A controller is included with every unit.

Description

The Ventilair Techo Centralised Heat Recovery Ventilator is a compact ceiling-mounted system for providing continuous, balanced mechanical ventilation across residential and light commercial spaces. It extracts stale indoor air while supplying filtered outdoor air, with the two airstreams passing through an energy recovery exchanger so that useful energy from the outgoing air can be transferred to the incoming fresh air.

The Techo range is available in 150, 250, 350 and 500 m³/h airflow capacities, allowing the system to be matched to different property sizes and ventilation requirements. Each airflow capacity can be specified with either a conventional AC motor or a BLDC brushless DC motor.

AC and BLDC motor options

The BLDC versions are designed for applications where reduced electrical consumption and efficient long-term operation are priorities. Brushless motor technology provides an energy-efficient alternative to conventional AC motors and is particularly relevant to modern UK residential projects where lower running costs and reduced energy consumption are increasingly important considerations.

The AC motor versions provide the same core heat recovery and filtration functions, giving installers and specifiers a choice of motor technology according to the requirements and budget of each project.

Heat and energy recovery

At the centre of the Techo is a PSY energy recovery exchanger. As extracted indoor air and incoming outdoor air pass through separate channels within the exchanger, thermal energy is transferred between them before the stale air is discharged outside.

The exchanger can also transfer water molecules between the airstreams, allowing the unit to recover both heat and moisture rather than temperature alone. This helps reduce the amount of energy required to condition incoming ventilation air while supporting a more stable indoor environment.

Multi-stage air filtration

Incoming fresh air passes through a combination of primary activated carbon filtration and H13 HEPA filtration before entering the building. The activated carbon stage provides initial filtration, while the H13 HEPA filter provides a higher level of particulate removal.

This combination allows the Techo to provide filtered fresh air as part of the building’s central ventilation system rather than relying on uncontrolled ventilation through open windows or passive vents.

With four airflow capacities, AC and BLDC motor options, energy recovery and integrated multi-stage filtration, the Ventilair Techo provides a flexible centralised heat recovery solution for properties requiring controlled whole-building ventilation. A compatible controller is supplied with each unit.
