Description
The i-Vent Charcoal Filter adds an odour-control stage to a compatible i-Vent Smart Ventilation Unit. Activated carbon has a highly porous structure that adsorbs many odour-causing compounds and some gases as air passes through the filter.
This type of filtration is particularly useful where the outdoor air source is occasionally affected by traffic fumes, nearby cooking smells or other nuisance odours. It complements particulate filters rather than replacing them, as its main purpose is adsorption rather than dust capture.
Activated carbon becomes less effective as the media becomes saturated, so the filter should be replaced periodically according to use and local air conditions.
